Seoul Plumbing Help,
Without the Language Barrier
Searching "plumber near me" from a Seoul apartment and getting only Korean results? Blocked toilet at midnight? Kitchen sink backing up? A leak your landlord keeps ignoring? NearDrain is the international desk of a licensed Sadang-based plumbing company — our own crew and equipment, not a booking site that forwards your call to a stranger.
Why international residents call us
The crew is the company
Many "English plumber Seoul" results are directories or brokers who resell your call. We are the opposite: a family-run crew that does the work with its own machines — springs, jetters, cameras, leak gear.
The price is agreed before work
We confirm the cause on site, state a fixed quote, and start only after you say yes. If the scope turns out different mid-job, we stop and explain first. Calls and texts are taken any time.
Real jobs, photographed
Our Korean blog documents years of actual field work — the photos on this site are ours, from real Seoul bathrooms and kitchens. See the evidence →
Paperwork your landlord accepts
Cause documented with photos and a written note in Korean, so the "who pays?" conversation happens between us and your landlord — not on your shoulders. Cards accepted, tax invoices for companies.
What we fix
Every job follows the same rule: the cause comes first, then one fixed quote stated before any work begins — you approve it first.

Fixed quote on siteThe questions every foreigner asks
"Do I pay for this, or does my landlord?"
The most-asked plumbing question in every Seoul expat community. Our plain-English guide to Korean repair responsibility — jeonse, wolse, and what documentation changes the answer.
"How do I even call a plumber here?"
How plumbing services actually work in Korea, what to say (with copy-paste Korean phrases), what fair pricing looks like, and the red flags that mean hang up.
"Is this an emergency, or can it wait?"
The four situations that cannot wait, the four shut-off valves in every Korean unit, and what to text at 2 AM so the reply is an honest window — not a countdown.
"Which plunger, and when do I stop?"
How to unclog a Korean toilet yourself — bellows vs flange plunger, the sticker (뽕투), warm soapy water — and the three signs that mean put the plunger down and send a photo.

Straight answers, before you ask
How well does English work, really?
English by text (SMS) works best. Phone calls are fine in Korean or Japanese. On site, plumbing is a point-and-show trade — between photos, the camera monitor and a translation app, nothing gets lost that matters. For Japanese speakers: the owner speaks Japanese, phone included.
What does it cost?
We do not publish a price list, for an honest reason: the fair number depends on what is actually wrong, and that can only be seen on site. Text us photos and we reply with a realistic range for your case; on site we confirm the cause and state one fixed price (VAT spelled out) before starting — you can decline and you will not be pressured. How pricing works →
Do you really come at night and on weekends?
Text or call whenever it happens — we reply, ask for photos, and tell you the earliest realistic window. The price is confirmed on site before work starts, and you approve it first.
