The short version

We are a second-generation plumbing family. The trade was learned on real Seoul pipes across years of field work — the drains, leaks and winter freeze-ups of ordinary Korean homes, shops and buildings. Today the company runs its own equipment — spring machines, flex-shaft cutters, high-pressure jetters, inspection cameras, acoustic and thermal leak gear — and publishes its field work continuously on our Korean site and blog.

The owner, Ahn Kwang-ho, holds Korean national technical certifications in the trade, and the company carries specialty construction registrations. More to the point for you: he answers the international line, reads your texts, and speaks Japanese — 電話も日本語OK.

Why an English and Japanese line exists

Seoul has hundreds of thousands of international residents and, functionally, almost no plumbing companies they can call directly. What exists instead is a layer of directories, forums and brokers that take your request and resell it to whoever picks up — you never know who is coming or what they were told. We kept getting these calls anyway, relayed through Korean-speaking friends and landlords. At some point the conclusion was obvious: cut out the relay. NearDrain is that — the same crew, reachable directly, in English by text and in Japanese by phone.
